The Feel Good Liquid

AZTECA was started by life and business partners Jessie and Tommy.

Jess is from California and Tommy from Mullumbimby but Laos is where they first laid eyes on one another over a decade ago. So the brand is a love story and an intrepid travel story.

But all fun comes to an end, so when they settled in Australia, Tommy a chef was like 'Im going to start a Thai restaurant!' Jessie, looking around and seeing 14 Thai restaurants, thought, 'you should do Mexican'.

Tommy was like, 'Im going to open a pie shop!' Jess, looking around and seeing 17 pie shops, thought 'you should do Mexican'...

Eventuallllllyyyyy Tommy thought, 'Ill do Mexican!', and Jessie congratulated him on an original and fantastic idea.

AZTECA Taqueria started on Sydney's Northern Beaches as a taco stall at a local market. As it grew up, refining itself along the way, it became Sydney's most popular Mexican catering. But then came Covid...dun dun duuun! And they were like ‘FUCK. We need products or the dog starves’ (they’re obsessed with him, so felt the threat imminent and utterly unacceptable).

Covid fostered a little extra drinking at home along with some tinkering in the kitchen, margs in hand; making fun salt blends - like Thai and Pie , they were rad! They thought 'let's try to shake this salt!' And people bought it.

So Taqueria was replaced with Margarita and AZTECA 2.0 was born. Around this time the trio relocated to Tommy’s hometown on the Northern Rivers.

Today, AZTECA Margarita is proudly made in Billinudgel using no shit ingredients, no sugar, no preservatives, no colours.

Just the Feel Good Liquid.
